The Saracen’s Plate is a relaxed and welcoming place to come and eat healthy, nourishing food with friends and family. Or just to hang out and read a book over a delicious Olfactory coffee made right here in Penryn.
We have gigs on most Friday and Saturday nights, see the events list for details of what’s coming up.
And we run community clubs from yoga to children’s craft sessions. Full details of when these run is also in the events listing.

Where are we?
We pride ourselves on serving up delicious home-cooked food that uses Fairtrade and organic produce from ethical local suppliers whenever possible. Most meals are available in small or half portions for children or people with smaller appetites. Our specials change daily based on what’s in season and to ensure we reduce our waste. There’s usually four choices and we cater for all diets.
BREAKFAST & BRUNCH
SANDWICHES & AREPA
Choose from cheddar, fried egg, bacon, ham, tuna mayo, halloumi and avocado.
Make it an arepa! Your choice of filling in our fabulous hot fluffy corn muffins.
Things on toast
We’ve got jam, marmite, peanut butter, beans and eggs or avocado and homemade coleslaw.
Meat plate: bacon, chipolatas, egg, mushrooms, homemade baked beans and Saracen’s Relish.
Veg plate: black bean & beetroot patties, egg, halloumi, mushroom, homemade baked beans and Saracen’s Relish.
Vegan plate: black bean & beetroot patties, avocado, home-made tomato chutney, mushrooms, grilled tomato, homemade baked beans and Saracen’s Relish.
LUNCH & DINNER
All hot mains are served with sautéed potatoes, chips, rice or spaghetti.

Our burgers are served in a vegan ciabatta bun with a garnish - extra toppings available.

Our soups are always home-made, vegan and wheat-free. Served with bread or toast.
Made with beetroot and spinach in the dough - a new way to five a day! Lots of toppings to add to our simple margherita base.
Plus we do chips and rainbow root fries with or without cheese and jacket potatoes with various toppings
